Harvest Moon

Once again a new season has arrived and I am not yet a seasoned blogger. Yet, once again, the goal is still there, nudging me on. I will get there because writing is so wonderful and important to me. I love writing and I should not let something like lack of time get in the way of it. It will be here that clarity of my thoughts and ideas will be found. Otherwise, I will go around in a cloud and miss the opportunity to use my abilities to dream, ponder, grow. I have a journal that I write in, but somehow this is a little different and I am working it out. Should I focus on the books I'm reading, music I'm listening to or spiritual discussions I'm having with myself? A little bit of this and a little bit of that? Probably so.

I am listening to a lot of music this fall. Leigh Nash has her first solo album out and there is something so haunting about her voice. It seems to stir me awake and help me to be more of myself than before I listened. It reminds me, as music often does, of who I am and who I want to be. I cannot compare this album to This Beautiful Mess or Divine Discontent, but I am enjoying it and grateful that it finally arrived in the mail.

Reading is so precious to me and right now I am reading A Spot of Bother by Mark Haddon. It is more entertainment and I am not enjoying it as much as his last book, but it is light reading and seems to fit into my life right now. I'm still working on Robert Frost poems, one poem here and one poem there...what an amazing poet he is. Pride and Prejudice is still on my nightstand as well and will be continued after the little detour of Haddon's book. One Hundred Year's of Solitude is not back on the shelf either, due to the hope that the book discussion I am in will continue a while longer.
